Building or renovating your home or business is a stressful process. There are so many things to think about. You may have already decided to hire an interior designer - you may feel overwhelmed by the huge task of choosing finishes, coming up with a lighting concept and colour scheme, and sourcing furniture, decor and artwork.

But that's only one step of the process. Now you hold an interior design concept in your hands. Do you have the time to go out yourself and find the furniture and decor your designer has used? Who handles the logistics side of it (your product purchasing, storing of all the delivery boxes that start arriving, checking them for broken items, handle the returns) ?

What happens when the build is delayed and your furniture arrives? Where do you store it in the meantime?

We understand that all these hidden factors are very time consuming and can quickly be the big stress factor in your life, as well as impact your relationships negatively. And you are probably already very busy juggling a career and family as well.

I am Mara, the director and lead designer of Affirmative Living. Interior design has been a passion of mine for a long time and I have been very fortunate to have helped my clients transform their spaces - residential or commercial- over the past years.

My goal is to help you discover your own personal style, source the pieces you can't live without and to design a space you don't want to leave.
